Alicia went to work for Alameda County for the first time in 1977. She started as an Eligibility Worker in the Social Services Agency and then promoted to Social Worker in Adult Services where she remained until 1988. At that time, she left Alameda County to pursue other dreams.

In 2006, Alicia returned to Alameda County as a Human Resources Technician in Human Resource Services. She promoted to Human Resources Analyst and in 2009 transferred to the General Services Agency as a Departmental Personnel Officer. Alicia retired from the Office of the District Attorney in 2017.

Alicia answered the call for volunteers to join the REAC Board in April of 2021 and a year later, in April 2022, was elected to the position of President of the Board. Alicia’s goal for the REAC Board is to report accurate and timely information to its members and to support ACERA in its job of providing defined retirement benefits to  retirees.
